Job Title: Inclusion Support Specialist Status: Permanent, 37 hours per week Closing Date: Midnight, Sunday 15th June 2025 Assessment Centre Date: Monday 23rd June 2025 Overview With over 2000 full-time students, Reaseheath College is one of the UK’s leading specialist land-based colleges. About the role The College is looking for an individual who is creative, innovative, and imaginative with proven experience in the field of Inclusive Learning. It is important that you have an awareness and understanding of the importance of inclusive standards within teaching. You will be able to develop and advise staff on a range of inclusive teaching and learning techniques and develop student engagement and confidence in the classroom. The post-holder will be a self-confident and display energy and enthusiasm in the learning environment. You will be open and responsive to the needs of others and be able to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and new ideas. In addition, you will be a strong team player who can establish effective working relationships, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to identify, interpret and apply specific knowledge to practice. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent organisation and time management skills and extensive knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice in relation to young people with SEND. Key responsibilities: Work 1:1 with students implementing support strategies to aid their success. Actively manage a caseload of provision for specialist support for students. Review the progress of individual students using learning agreements. Conduct classroom observations to support and help ILP’s and teaching staff to effectively implement strategies. Prepare and sources materials and information SpLDs for use in the Learning Skills Centre. The successful candidate will have: Level 2 Maths & English (GCSE Grade C or above). A teaching qualification is required (or willingness to work towards one). A qualification in the management and support of Specific Learning Difficulties. Significant track record of working with and supporting students with SpLD in a post 16 environment. Track record of establishing effective working relationships with students, staff and external clients and colleagues. Please note this role constitutes ‘regulated activity’ as defined by the Protection of Freedom Act 2012. The successful candidate will therefore be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check with barred list information prior to starting employment. You must also have the right to work in the UK and will be required to provide evidence to support this. In addition, online checks will be carried out during the recruitment process.
