Our Client, outstanding in their recent Ofsted inspection, is looking for a skilled and compassionate Assessment Social Worker to join their team in a residential family centre setting.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of vulnerable families through high-quality assessments and support planning within a caring and nurturing environment.
To be considered, you will have full right to work in the UK and will live in East Kent.
The job:
* Manage a realistic caseload of families, coordinating assessments and placement plans and offering the highest level of support.
* Conduct community and viability assessments when required.
* Collaborate with professionals across social care, health, and education.
* Supervise staff and contribute to their development.
* Attend court, reviews, and professional meetings.
* Ensure safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation are followed.
* Produce high-quality reports and maintain accurate records.
The Person:
* Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
* Strong understanding of child protection, residential care regulations, and relevant legislation.
* Excellent communication, assessment, and report-writing skills.
* Ability to work flexibly, including participation in the on-call rota and shift work.
