Job Title: National Account Manager – Morrisons

Location: Field Based

For 150 years AG Barr has built great brands such as IRN‑BRU, RUBICON, Boost and FUNKIN, and other portfolio brands including MOMA.


Responsibilities

* Take full ownership of the on‑trade account, managing promotional activities, forecasting, and working collaboratively with key internal and external teams to deliver business objectives.
* Develop a strong understanding of P&L management and drive contribution through effective negotiation and planning in the on‑trade environment.
* Own the process for weekly, period, and annual forecasting for the Morrisons account and products, using multiple data sources to generate accurate and actionable forecasts.
* Prepare and execute successful negotiations with on‑trade customers, ensuring the protection of AG Barr's values and mitigating risks for soft drinks.
* Build strong relationships with key contacts at all levels, both internally and externally, to establish long‑term strategic partnerships.
* Adapt communication style and approach to align with customer needs, gaining deep insights into customers’ internal systems and objectives to create effective, customer‑centric plans.
* Proactively manage personal and team development through performance reviews, coaching, and mentoring to cultivate future leaders within the business.
* Partner with commercial managers, business unit leaders, finance, HR, and supply chain to ensure strategic alignment and effective execution of plans for soft drinks at Morrisons.
* Track and report on key performance metrics for accounts and products, addressing any discrepancies and adjusting plans as necessary.


What You’ll Bring

* Experience in account management within an FMCG environment with a strong focus on managing national‑level accounts in the Grocery sector.
* Strong understanding of P&L management, forecasting, and business development within the Grocers, with proven ability to build joint business plans and negotiate effectively.
* Experience managing senior‑level relationships with major Grocers and influencing decision‑makers at various organizational levels.
* Strong IT skills, including proficiency with CRM, forecasting tools, and the Google Office suite.
* Excellent presentation and communication skills, able to engage effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders in the on‑trade.
