Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. This role involves supporting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and promoting their overall well-being.
Duties
* Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support clients with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition.
* Assist with medication administration as per prescribed guidelines.
* Engage in behaviour management techniques to support clients with challenging behaviours.
* Facilitate social interaction and companionship to enhance the quality of life for clients.
* Conduct light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
* Help clients with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary.
* Document client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
Requirements
* Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or similar environments is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice care, and senior care practices is beneficial.
* Certification in first aid is preferred.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
* A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients as needed.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with physical tasks safely.

Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
