The Position: We're looking for a Kitchen Technician 15 hours per week – 40 weeks per year
Catering Technician role to provide equipment and cleaning support to lecturers and learners in an efficient and timely manner, within all areas.
To ensure that the Catering food preparatory areas are always kept clean and tidy, and that all equipment is clean and ready to use at the start of all teaching sessions/service and all lesson materials are available.
This is an essential role to the department as it grows and develops both in terms of student numbers and commercial provision.
What skills are we looking for:
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Commitment to providing necessary support to catering team
* To hold a food safety qualification or be prepared to work towards
* To hold a first aid qualification or be prepared to work towards
* Experience of working within a restaurant environment
Responsibilities for the role:
* Maintain equipment to a high standard
* General maintenance and cleanliness of the Kitchen
* To adhere to Food Safety and Health and Safety regulations, standards, policies, procedures and codes of practice.
* Undertake any other duties within the spirit of the job description and commensurate with the grading of the post
