Lancashire County Council are looking for an experienced Partnerships Officer to deliver on the key strategic priorities of the Lancashire Refugee Integration Team (LRIT). The Partnerships Officer will be responsible for ensuring synergy between the LRIT and key Health and Wellbeing partners and stakeholders to improve joined-up working. The Partnerships Officer will also have responsibility for ensuring the wider work of LRIT is compliant with safeguarding legislation.
Key Accountabilities
1. Apply broad knowledge of Home Office resettlement schemes for Afghan citizens who worked for or with the UK Government in Afghanistan.
2. Independently manage workload, make decisions, and resolve issues using sound judgment.
3. Plan and prioritize service requirements in line with departmental policies.
4. Facilitate collaboration among health and wellbeing partners to meet refugee needs.
5. Act as Safeguarding Lead for the Lancashire Refugee Integration Team.
6. Engage with Third Sector organisations, local authorities, and stakeholders to support refugee development.
7. Develop and disseminate communication tools (., newsletters, guides, virtual networks).
8. Build and maintain effective relationships with agencies and service providers.
9. Design and deliver training and professional development for refugees and stakeholders.
10. Lead partnership initiatives and represent the team in networks and steering groups.
11. Organise stakeholder networks and conferences.
12. Provide expert advice on community cohesion, safety, and development.
Essential Knowledge & Skills
13. Broad understanding of Home Office resettlement schemes for Afghan citizens who worked for or with the UK Government in Afghanistan.
14. In-depth knowledge of refugee integration, especially health inequalities and barriers.
15. Familiarity with the Health and Wellbeing Sector in Lancashire/North West England.
16. Understanding of NHS and contractor-based health commissioning processes.
17. Strong research and information management capabilities.
18. Excellent communication, networking, and intercultural communication skills.
19. Knowledge of relevant professional, regulatory, and statutory frameworks.
20. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
21. Ability to train and mentor professional staff.
22. Strong planning, organisational, and multitasking abilities.
23. Basic project planning and delivery knowledge.
