Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team in maintaining and repairing vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance on vehicles, such as oil changes and brake inspections
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on various vehicle systems
- Perform scheduled services on engines, transmissions, and brakes
- Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain or upgrade
- Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace
*The skills, qualifications and experience we’re looking for:*
* A certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Level 3 (Level 2 candidates will be considered)
* A solid work experience in the automotive industry
* Proven experience in the *automotive industry*, ideally working with *Stellantis, Vauxhall, and Ford brands*
* Ability to diagnose and repair using manufacturer-specific *diagnostic tools and software*
* The ability to work in a competent and efficient manner on your own or part of a busy team
* Strong communication skills
* Good attention to detail
* The ability to carry out work to high standards and to deadlines
* A proactive and enthusiastic approach
* The ability to accurately follow written and spoken instructions
* A full UK driving licence.
