Weymouth Town Council is currently recruiting for 2 Community Caretakers to join the Resort team. The roles support the cleanliness and presentation of Weymouth town centre and the surrounding Town Council wards. Duties include litter picking, manual sweeping, maintaining community noticeboards, scheduled cleaning, and responding to public enquiries in a polite and professional manner. You’ll also assist with reporting maintenance issues, removing approved graffiti, and helping to maintain high standards across all designated areas. We’re looking for reliable, proactive individuals who can work both independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service. You should also be confident interacting with members of the public in a friendly, helpful, and professional manner. The roles are full-time, initially for nine months (40 hours per week), with the option to extend. Normal working week will be 5 of 7 days in line with business need. Weekend, evening and bank holiday working will be required, particularly during the summer season and at events. Equivalent time off will be provided in accordance with the Council’s flexi-time scheme.
