Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver

* Salary: £25,000 per annum
Have you operated a counterbalance forklift before?
We are seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our team, handling ceramic tiles in a dynamic warehouse environment. This role requires a candidate with experience in warehouse operations, particularly in picking, packing, and forklift operations. An immediate start is available for the right candidate.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Operate a counterbalance forklift to move pallets and manage stock locations.
* Pick and pack stock, assemble customer orders from various pallets, ensuring orders are correct and well-packed.
* Load and unload vehicles, including offloading containers using a dock leveller and ramp.
* Conduct regular health and safety checks on vehicles and report any issues.
* Record any damages to stock or equipment.
* Work across two sites, handling the logistics and movement of ceramic tiles.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a busy multi-function warehouse environment.
* Valid forklift licence and experience with counterbalance forklift trucks.
* Desirable: Ability to drive a 7.5-tonne curtain side lorry.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* High attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately.
* Must be able to adhere to tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
