Attendance & pastoral administrator – secondary school, nottinghamshire

The role
A well-established and inclusive secondary school in Nottinghamshire is seeking a reliable and compassionate Attendance & Pastoral Administrator to support its student services team. This is a vital role within the school, combining administration with daily interaction with students, families and pastoral staff. The school is recognised locally for its strong safeguarding culture, consistent behaviour systems and excellent student support. The Role This role sits at the heart of the school’s pastoral structure, supporting attendance monitoring, student wellbeing and communication with families. You will work closely with Heads of Year, safeguarding leads and senior staff to ensure pupils are supported to attend and engage positively with school life. Key responsibilities include: Monitoring daily attendance and punctuality Contacting families regarding absence and follow-up Maintaining accurate attendance and pastoral records Supporting safeguarding and child protection processes Liaising with external agencies and internal support teams Producing attendance reports for leadership meetings The School Environment This is a large secondary school with a calm, purposeful atmosphere.
