We are seeking a dedicated full-time Kitchen Staff / Dumpling Maker to join our team at a busy modern Chinese-fusion restaurant.
The ideal candidate will have experience with Chinese-style cooking and preparation—especially dumpling making—and a passion for authentic flavours.
This position is essential for supporting our kitchen operations and delivering a high-quality dining experience to our guests.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook Chinese-fusion dishes, including hand-made dumplings and other items
* Wash and sanitise dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment using appropriate methods
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including work surfaces, storage areas, and equipment
* Assist with ingredient preparation, portioning, and stock management
* Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with food-safety regulations
* Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a kitchen (Chinese or Asian cuisine experience is highly desirable)
* Skill in dumpling wrapping or similar handmade preparation is a strong advantage
* Strong attention to cleanliness, food hygiene, and safety standards
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively
* Good teamwork and communication skills with a positive, can-do attitude
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required
* Full-time availability preferred
