Level 3 Teaching Assistant (SEN Support) Location: Failsworth (M35) Type: Full-Time, Temporary Start Date: September 2025 Are you an experienced and compassionate Level 3 Teaching Assistant with a strong background in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Monarch Education are seeking a dedicated professional to work at a vibrant primary school in Failsworth (M35). About the Role: As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will be a vital part of the school's dedicated SEN team, working closely with teachers, external specialists and parents to deliver tailored support that meets individual pupils' needs. You will assist in implementing bespoke learning strategies, encouraging independence and fostering positive social interactions. Key Responsibilities: Delivering tailored interventions and support plans for pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties and more. Assisting the class teacher with daily lessons, ensuring the smooth running of activities and providing 1:1 or small group support. Promoting positive behaviour strategies, de-escalating challenging situations, and fostering an inclusive, safe environment. Supporting pupils with personal care needs where required, in line with school policies. Tracking pupil progress, maintaining detailed records and providing feedback to teachers and external professionals. Working closely with SENCOs, therapists and external agencies to ensure effective support strategies are implemented. Encouraging pupils to develop life skills and confidence throughout their learning journey. About You: Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent. Proven experience supporting children with SEN in a primary school setting. Familiarity with SEN frameworks and strategies. Excellent communication, patience, adaptability and a proactive approach.
