Year 2 Teacher (Part-Time) – East Grinstead Salary: M1–M6 (pro rata, in line with teacher pay scale) Days: Wednesday to Friday Contract: Part-Time | Permanent We are looking for a passionate and motivated Year 2 Teacher to join our vibrant and dedicated team in East Grinstead. This part-time role (Wednesday to Friday) is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator—whether experienced or newly qualified—committed to delivering creative, inclusive, and engaging learning experiences in Key Stage 1. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons for a Year 2 class Create a positive, inclusive classroom culture that supports learning and wellbeing Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback and support to help each child thrive Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to ensure consistent, high-quality provision Support the social, emotional, and personal development of pupils Maintain effective classroom management using positive behaviour strategies Build strong relationships with parents and carers, communicating pupil progress clearly Participate in planning meetings, CPD opportunities, and contribute to school life as appropriate About You Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum, particularly Year 2 Experience teaching in a primary setting (desirable, though ECTs are welcome to apply) A creative and engaging approach to teaching and learning Excellent communication and teamwork skills Well-organised, proactive, and committed to making a positive impact A genuine passion for helping children grow both academically and personally How to Apply Please apply with your CV and a brief cover letter outlining your experience and enthusiasm for teaching Year 2.
