An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Clinical Studies Officer (CSO) to join Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual interested in research. The post holder will support the delivery of both commercial and non-commercial NIHR portfolio research studies across various specialties. Responsibilities include identifying, recruiting, and supporting patients through the research process, as well as supporting study teams and clinicians involved in research. The post-holder will also promote research among clinicians, service users, and the wider NHS.
This is a 12-month, full-time position based at the Lantern Centre, Preston. The role involves being an 'agile' worker, operating across Lancashire.
We are looking for a dynamic, self-directed, and committed individual with a keen interest in becoming a vital part of our research team. The successful candidate will need a professional qualification or a degree in a relevant healthcare subject, with at least 2 years' experience working in a healthcare, social, or NHS setting. The role requires the ability to travel independently around Lancashire and to build effective relationships within the R&D team, NIHR clinical research networks, and clinical service staff. The CSO will support various research studies and work directly with service users across the Trust, including in community settings.
