Membership SecretaryThe Birley Clubs An exciting opportunity as arisen for a Membership Secretary to join the Birley Clubs, based in Mayfair, London. The Birley Clubs encompasses some of London’s finest private members clubs; Annabel’s, Mark’s Club, Harry’s Bar, George and Bath & Racquets all based in the heart of Mayfair.As Membership Secretary will have responsibility for the membership of two of our high-profile Clubs within the group, Harry's Bar and Mark's Club (re-launching Summer 2024). The role will demand the ability to successfully manage relationships with the existing Members as well as assisting the Membership Management Team in achieving membership recruitment, retention and engagement goals.The main responsibilities of the Membership Secretary will be:Main point of contact for all Membership enquiries relating to both Harry’s Bar and Mark's Club via phone, e mail and letterManagement of all administration relating to payment of annual subscriptions (direct debits, standing orders, cheques and credit cards) including generating and sending of all renewal & reminder letters on a monthly basis.Accurate allocation of payments to individual MembersChasing of payments as required to maintain low attrition ratesIn conjunction with Membership Assistant, management of Waiting Lists including research and, in some cases, interviewing potential applicantsSending out all election letters, management of payments and answering of all new Member enquiriesResponsibility for ensuring all Member details are correct and accurate to the best of our knowledgeAssisting Membership Director to actively manage Membership through analysis of dataAttending Members Drinks and other Member events as requiredAdministration relating to the Committee including setting and managing dates for meetings, preparation of agenda and minute takingRunning daily reports for all Clubs to ensure accurate allocation of paymentsRepresenting Harry’s Bar, Mark's Club and other Birley Clubs at external events as requiredThe Ideal Membership Secretary will:Have experience in a similar roleHave excellent communication skills, both oral and writtenExcellent Computer skills including Excel. Word and Outlook, with database experience being desirableExcellent attention to detail and strong organisational skillsAbility to multi task, a can do attitude and be an enthusiastic team playerProfessional, discreet and calm under pressureExperience of working with HNW individuals beneficialThis full time permanent position working Monday to Friday 9.00am – 6.00pm and is an ideal role for a natural communicator with excellent attention to detail, to progress and develop in a growing team with career progression opportunities.
