Modern Workplace Services Manager• Newly created role – lead the roadmap of all end-user IT services• Shape the integration of technology and workplace services to enhance the employee experience• Hybrid role – up to 80% homeworking, with occasional time in Stratford-upon-AvonAbout the roleAre you passionate about integrating technology and workplace services to enhance the employee experience? As Modern Workplace Services Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless technology integration and exceptional service delivery. This strategically important role will put you at the forefront of optimising workplace technology, from end-user devices and third-party service providers to Microsoft 365 productivity tools to enable business success. In this newly created role, you’ll take ownership of a wide spectrum of IT workplace services, including end-user devices, corporate printing, Microsoft 365 applications (including Intune and SharePoint), and third-party end user device management services. You’ll drive improvements in digital experience and ensure secure, efficient, and compliant delivery of services across the business. You’ll oversee day-to-day operations such as device provisioning, meeting room technology, and software support, while also managing key vendor relationships and leading procurement and governance activities. Importantly, you’ll also shape the future roadmap, balancing operational reliability with strategic investment decisions and innovation. This role goes beyond technical oversight. You’ll have the opportunity to influence at a senior level, drive service strategy, and introduce emerging technologies, including AI, that help us work smarter. Internally, this role will be titled IT Workplace Services Manager.About youAs an experienced Modern Workplace Services Manager, you will bring a strong background in end-to-end ownership of workplace IT services. This includes leading the strategic adoption, governance, and optimisation of Microsoft 365 tools as well as managing third-party end user device management services. You’ll be confident balancing strategic thinking with day-to-day service leadership, and will bring a track record of delivering effective, user-centric IT environments.You will also demonstrate: • Experience managing and improving services across the Microsoft product stack including driving adoption and governance (Essential)• Proven responsibility for third-party end user device management services, including performance and vendor relationship oversight (Essential)• Operational and strategic experience in hardware and device deployment (Essential)• Strong supplier and contract management skills• Experience managing workplace-related risks and ensuring compliance• People leadership – with the ability to manage, coach, and develop teams (Essential)• Strong stakeholder relationship skills across IT and the wider business• Customer-centric mindset, with a drive for service quality and continuous improvement• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Track record of delivering complex IT projects and managing resources effectively Qualifications:• Degree or equivalent industry experience (Essential)• ITIL Foundation certification (Desirable) At NFU Mutual, we support an inclusive workplace and value all the differences that make us unique.
