Job Title: Quantity Surveyor – Reactive Maintenance
Location: Office-based (5 days, with potential for 1 day WFH after probation)
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 + £3,500 Car Allowance + up to 10% Bonus
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Probation: 3 Months
Our Client:
We’re working in partnership with a highly reputable property services contractor who provides essential reactive maintenance across 18,000 social housing properties, primarily in collaboration with Orbit Homes. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
The Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a crucial role in overseeing and managing commercial performance on reactive maintenance contracts. You’ll ensure cost control, accurate valuations, and timely invoicing using NHF Schedule of Rates (SOR), working closely with operational and finance teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage commercial performance on reactive maintenance contracts.
Apply NHF SORs for valuation and cost reporting.
Process and track invoices using Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Use Excel to maintain accurate financial tracking and reporting.
Liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure clarity and commercial alignment.
Assist with monthly valuations, reporting, and forecasting.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the social housing/reactive maintenance sector.
Strong working knowledge of NHF Schedule of Rates (SOR).
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 desirable.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Able to work full-time in the office, with potential for hybrid working after probation.
Hours:
Monday to Friday – either 8:00am to 4:30pm or 9:00am to 5:30pm (your choice).
