Are you someone who loves practical, hands-on work and gets real satisfaction from helping lessons come to life?

We’re looking for a proactive, reliable and creative ADT Technician to join our friendly Art, Design and Technology team. This is a 25-hour per week, term-time only plus 10 days role, supporting our colleagues and students across Art, Design, Technology and particularly within Food Technology.

You don't need to have experience as a technician, but if you enjoy variety, like being organised and want to be part of a collaborative and welcoming department, this could be a brilliant opportunity for you!

The role

In this varied and rewarding role, you’ll help prepare materials and equipment for lessons, maintain our specialist rooms and stores, and support colleagues and students in practical sessions, particularly within Food Technology. You’ll play a key part in ensuring lessons run smoothly, safely and creatively, helping to bring ideas to life in a dynamic and inspiring environment.

You don’t need to have worked as a technician before, what matters most is attitude. We’re looking for someone who is:

* Practical, organised and enjoys staying on top of things

* Creative and keen to support hands-on learning

* A good communicator who works well with colleagues and students

* Proactive, adaptable and willing to learn

* Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

* Detail-focused with pride in keeping spaces tidy and well-run

* Skills in photography would be an advantage


Above all, we’re looking for someone with enthusiasm and a genuine “can-do” approach. You’ll be joining a collaborative and welcoming department.
