GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work with pupils in a local school based in Poole starting immediately.

About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work alongside class teachers to support pupils with their learning needs. You will assist in delivering engaging lessons, provide one-to-one or small group support, and help create an inclusive environment where every pupil can thrive.
Responsibilities:
* Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons.
* Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils needing additional help.
* Assist with preparing classroom resources and lesson materials.
* Encourage positive behaviour and support pupils’ social and emotional development.
* Monitor pupil progress and report observations to teaching staff.
* Supervise pupils during breaks or lunchtimes when required.
* Support extracurricular activities and school trips.
* Foster independence and confidence in learning.
* Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to meet pupil needs.
Requirements:
* Experience working in a UK school or similar setting.
* A degree in Education, Psychology or a similar field is desirable but not mandatory.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting children.
* Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3, or equivalent (desirable).
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
