Are you an experienced HR Policy & Employment Law Specialist with experience working in the public sector?
I am working exclusively with an academic focused government department on an initial 6-month temporary HR Policy & Employment Law Specialist position with the possibility of extension. The government department is looking to bring in a new specialist interim HR team to help the organisation through a busy and challenging time. They are keen to meet with highly experienced senior HR professionals who can come in and make an impact immediately.
The key duties include:
* Looking at the current HR policies, reviewing, updating and changing where required.
* Identifying any gaps they have, making sure they are compliant.
* Completing their HR Policy handbook, ensuring all HR polices are available for employees to access.
* Using your knowledge of UK employment law to advise the HR Business Partners.
The role is an outcome focused position and would be a great fit for an HR Consultant with a strong policy background. The role will sit outside IR35, paying around £500 per day. They have offices in both London (Canary Wharf) and Swindon, and would like the post holder to be happy to attend either office 1-2 days per week.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in the public and private sectors. It would be very beneficial to have experience of employment law from outside of the UK as well. As this is a large piece of work, it would be very advantageous to have worked within central government previously.
My client, who has asked to be kept confidential at this stage, is keen to meet with highly experienced senior professionals who can come in and make an impact immediately. They would like someone who can start in the post by the end of May.
