Behaviour Teaching Assistant
Location: Burniston
Salary: £88 – £110 per day
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: January 2026
GSL Education are seeking a resilient Behaviour Teaching Assistant to work with pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support in a school setting near Burniston.
Responsibilities
* Support pupils with challenging behaviour and SEMH needs
* Implement behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques
* Promote positive relationships and engagement
* Assist with classroom routines and interventions
* Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral teams
Requirements
* Experience working with behaviour or SEMH needs
* Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies
* Patient, firm and empathetic approach
* Ability to remain calm under pressure
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
