Nursery Teaching Assistant
Prospero Teaching is looking for a hardworking, motivating Nursery Teaching Assistant in Enfield, North London. The school is a two-form primary school with a supportive leadership team and a dynamic and inclusive learning environment committed to academic excellence and student success. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistant to support our educators and help students thrive in and out of the classroom. This position is open to all qualified candidates with a passion for education and student support. Prior classroom experience is preferred but not required.
Contract/Position Details
* Location: Enfield, North London
* Position: Nursery Teaching Assistant
* Type of work: supporting teaching, assessing student work, lesson plans/activities
* Start date: September 2025
* Duration: 1 term contract (may be extended)
* End date (if applicable): end of term 1
* Contract type: Temporary
* Hours: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
Responsibilities
* Support teaching in the Nursery setting and assist with classroom activities
* Assess student work and contribute to lesson planning as directed
* Support learners to thrive in and out of the classroom
Experience, Training and Qualifications
* Minimum 1 year experience teaching KS1 or KS2 preferred but not required
* Up to date safeguarding training issued in the past year
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
* Holds CACHE or NVQ Level 3 or a degree in Childcare/Early Childhood
* Have a valid right to work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced DBS with barred list checks and be enrolled or willing to enrol onto the DBS update service
