We are currently recruiting a project officer to work within a supported housing scheme based in Wigan, supporting vulnerable people and families.
Your new role
This post is a full-time role, working 35 hours per week, covering 11-hour shifts, (excluding one-hour lunch break). Shifts are 8am to 8pm and 8am to 4pm, including weekdays, weekends and bank holidays. This role is scheme-based, and you mainly work on-site with some dispersed work in themunity with dispersed-based residents across the Wigan area.
As a Project Officer, you will play a key role in supporting residents to help them achieve their goals, develop independent living and life skills, and you will build excellent relationships with residents, colleagues and professionals from external agencies.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have the ability to relate well to a vulnerable client base from a wide variety of backgrounds, demonstrate empathy and provide service users with a safe, supportive and weing environment. A flexible and enthusiastic approach is essential within the team. You will have the ability to use a range of IT Software Packages, experience of working in a busy office environment, and will have the ability to prioritise a busy workload, working unsupervised and using your own initiative.
