ECTs & Newly Qualified Teachers – Explore SEN Through Agency Work

Teaching Personnel are working with a wide range of SEN schools, SEMH provisions, PRUs, and inclusive mainstream settings across East Manchester—offering flexible roles for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to broaden their experience.

Your Role

You’ll support pupils aged 5–16 with a wide range of needs, including:

  • SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health)
  • Autism, ADHD, and communication needs
  • Learning difficulties and behavioural challenges
  • Trauma and attachment-related needs

In your role, you will:

Deliver or support adapted, inclusive lessons Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils Use behaviour management and de-escalation strategies Support emotional regulation and engagement in learning Work collaboratively with SENCOs, support staff, and pastoral teams Help create safe, structured, and nurturing learning environments

Who We’re Looking For

We want to hear from newly qualified teachers and ECTs who are:

  • Curious about or passionate about SEN and inclusive education
  • Looking for flexibility and variety at the start of their career
  • Resilient, adaptable, and confident building relationships
  • Keen to develop behaviour management and specialist SEN skills
  • Available Monday–Friday (8:30am–3:30pm)
  • Willing to obtain (or already hold) an Enhanced DBS
