Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activities Coordinator to lead our recreational and social programmes within our care home environment. The ideal candidate will ideal have experience in a care setting, experience with dementia and Alzheimer's desirable. This role is pivotal in enhancing the quality of life for our residents through engaging activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive activities programme tailored to the interests and needs of residents.
* Coordinate with staff to ensure activities are inclusive and accessible for all residents, including those with varying levels of mobility and cognitive abilities.
* Foster a warm and inviting atmosphere that encourages resident participation and social interaction.
* Conduct regular assessments of resident interests to adapt programming accordingly.
* Collaborate with families to incorporate their feedback into activity planning.
* Maintain accurate records of participation and evaluate the effectiveness of programmes.
* Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations within the care home setting.
Experience
* Previous experience in an care home environment is desired.
* desirable to have experience with dementia and Alzheimer's care.
* Strong caregiving skills with an understanding of the unique needs of elderly residents.
* Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with residents, families, and staff members.
