We are looking to appoint a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our Speech and Language Therapy team. Part‑time hours will be considered. You will contribute to facilitating teaching and learning within our Speech and Language Therapy programme within the Department of Allied Health Professions, Sport and Exercise.
The Department of Allied Health Professions, Sport and Exercise has an excellent portfolio of education and research and includes eight health professions. It benefits from outstanding teaching facilities, including the National Health Innovation Campus. Successful candidates will undertake student‑centred teaching, learning, and assessment to contribute to a positive student experience. You will plan, prepare, and deliver quality teaching on a range of theoretical and clinical modules, and assess and provide feedback on student assignments. In addition, you will act as an academic advisor and assist with the supervision of student projects and placements.
With a degree in Speech and Language Therapy, you will understand and apply the key concepts of knowledge relevant to contemporary Speech and Language Therapy practice and will have experience of clinical practice as a Speech and Language Therapist. Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Speech and Language Therapist is a requirement. You will be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and service users and promote and support learning in students.
