Description Job Title: Aerospace Aftermarket Engineering Intern Location: Basingstoke, (this is a fully on-site position) Role Type: 12-month sandwich course internship Job Summary: This position is based within the Global Repair and Overhaul Engineering team, and based from our Basingstoke site. You’ll collaborate daily with staff distributed globally at different product centres, factories, and service centres. The team is focused on improving supply chain performance by maintaining and improving designs for products and improving process currently used in the aftermarket phase. This role is part of our University Relations program, designed to help students and recent graduates launch their careers with hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities for growth within Honeywell. This internship is set up for those studying a sandwich degree, so is circa 12 months starting at in the summer break of 2026. Key responsibilities: You will work closely with experienced professionals, to gain hands-on experience within a friendly and supportive team to be trained to achieve the following: Engineering Focus: Assist in engineering project planning, development, and execution, support technical teams with research, data analysis, and problem-solving tasks, collaborate on product design, development, and testing efforts, help in the preparation of engineering reports, documentation, and presentations and analyse data from simulations, prototypes, or production runs to improve product designs. Business Focus: Support the business team with market research, competitive analysis, and business model development, assist in preparing business reports, financial forecasts, and presentations, participate in business strategy meetings and provide insights on product-market fit, pricing strategies, and customer needs, help in managing relationships with vendors, customers, and business partners and work with cross-functional teams on projects involving both technical and commercial aspects. General Tasks: Track and report on the progress of various projects, complete administrative duties to both engineering and business teams when needed, learn and utilize project management tools to assist in meeting deadlines and deliverables, attend team meetings and contribute ideas for improving business processes and engineering workflows.
