Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard working person who would enjoy working within a team and are keen to learn new skills. This job will involve working closely with the Physiotherapists treating a variety of conditions in Orthopaedics, Neurology, Elderly Care, Medicine, Oncology and Surgery, as well as providing administrative support as necessary. There is a requirement for flexible working as the service operates over 7 days and bank holidays. A rotational post assisting the qualified physiotherapy staff in delivering a high quality and effective Physiotherapy service, following appropriate training and competency assessment. Issue and checking of equipment within rotatory area. Treatment of patients as directed by supervisor.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for effective communication with multi professional team members/ line manager.
* Regular reporting to Physiotherapist on patients progress/ problems following each treatment.
* Communicate effectively with patients who may have impaired cognitive function i.e. stroke patients, deaf patients etc.
Qualifications
* No previous experience is required although previous experience in a health care setting is desirable. Training and support will be provided to help you develop relevant skills. Applicants must also have good written and spoken English.
