The Role In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in inspiring students to explore the world of food and nutrition. Your responsibilities will include: Designing and delivering engaging and practical Food Technology lessons that cater to a range of abilities and interests. Developing students’ practical skills in food preparation, cooking, and nutrition. Encouraging creativity and innovation in food design and presentation. Preparing students for success in relevant Food Technology qualifications. Maintaining a safe and hygienic food preparation environment. Contributing to the overall curriculum development and assessment within the department. The Ideal Candidate We are seeking a qualified Food Technology teacher with a minimum of two years’ successful teaching experience in a secondary school setting. The ideal candidate will possess: A passion for food and cooking, with a strong subject knowledge in Food Technology. Excellent pedagogical skills and the ability to create engaging and practical lessons. A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Strong organisational and time management skills. A focus on health and nutrition education.
