Development Engineer – Air/Fuel Systems Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire 37-hour week | Flexible start/finish About the Role Join a diverse and collaborative team of 8–10 engineers developing air and fuel system components —including EGR systems, turbochargers, and fuel systems —for industrial diesel engines. This senior-level role involves leading full lifecycle development projects, from concept through to production. Key Responsibilities Lead design and development of air/fuel components for engine platforms. Manage projects to meet time, cost, and quality targets. Collaborate with global teams, suppliers, and stakeholders. Apply APQP, FMEA, and DVP&R methodologies. Report progress to the wider business and support global implementation. Occasional travel may be required. What You’ll Need Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience. 2–3 years working with engines (automotive or off-highway). Strong knowledge of fuel systems, EGR, or turbochargers. Experience with 3D CAD (PTC Creo) and PLM tools (e.g., TeamCenter). Excellent communication and project leadership skills.
