Wise Technical Ltd is seeking a Junior Controls Engineer to join its team. As a Junior Controls Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and implementing control systems for airports both domestically and internationally. You will work within a team to design, develop, test, and commission control systems, ensuring they meet client requirements, and provide ongoing support once operational. This position is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals passionate about aviation and equipped with strong problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and commission control systems for airports.
* Support the development and implementation of new projects.
* Participate in project planning and scheduling.
* Develop and maintain relationships with clients and suppliers.
* Provide on-site support for control systems implementation and maintenance.
* Prepare reports and presentations for clients and senior management.
* Participate in team meetings and contribute to overall company objectives.
* Contribute to continuous improvement.
* Adhere to internal test processes and procedures.
* Survey existing system conditions and behaviors.
Qualifications
* HNC / BTEC and apprenticeship in suitable Electromechanical discipline,
* Or a Degree in relevant software/control engineering discipline.
Requirements
The Junior CE should have experience in:
* Electrical and control system design.
* Control system software and hardware commissioning and/or development.
* Siemens TIA Portal and ideally SCL or STL, or other statement-based PLC languages.
* Microsoft Office.
* Automated baggage handling systems – PLC, SCADA, and SAC.
* Hold Baggage Screening processes.
* Functional Safety Systems.
* Configuration management for complex systems.
* Emulation and simulation tools (e.g., Emulate 3D).
* Requirements management and QMS systems.
