Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and a deep understanding of culinary arts, ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen while maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. As a Senior Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen activities, supervising staff, and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
40 hours over 4 days.
Duties
Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing menu items with creativity and flair.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene practices in accordance with regulations.
Help train new and current kitchen team members, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock.
Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes while ensuring consistency in presentation and taste.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery during busy periods.
Contribute ideas for menu development and special events to enhance the culinary offerings.
Experience
Previous experience as a Senior Sous Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry is essential.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
Proficient knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen operations.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective team management.
A passion for cooking with a creative approach to menu planning and presentation.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
