We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior PBS Practitioner to join our growing national Behaviour Support Team and take the lead in shaping how Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is delivered across the organisation. You will help embed meaningful, person-centred approaches at every level, ensuring best practice is at the heart of everything we do.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in driving our PBS vision, shaping how it is embedded across southern-based services, and contributing to the ongoing development of a consistent, values-led framework both regionally and nationwide. You will provide PBS leadership and support across a wide portfolio of services, including residential care, supported living, hospitals, and neuro-rehabilitation, working with individuals of all ages and diverse, often complex support needs.
This is a full-time remote role, requiring regular regional and national travel (including overnight stays) to services in the south, with some home-based working depending on activity. This position is ideally suited to candidates based in the London area, with convenient access to commute to services across the region.

Key responsibilities: Provide strategic leadership in embedding a PBS culture across Active Care Group ensuring alignment with organisational values and best practice standards
Support the development and implementation of the organisation's PBS framework across services in the South region including newly developing Complex Care division, working collaboratively with PBS colleagues based nationally across the UK
Design and deliver engaging, interactive training materials on PBS and related subjects, supporting staff teams to build knowledge, confidence, and consistency in applying PBS principles across services
Lead, coach, and develop PBS practitioners and front-line teams to build capability, ensure practice consistency, and promote reflective, person-centred approaches
Conduct comprehensive Functional Behaviour Assessment for individuals and implement behaviour support plans (BSPs)
Conduct incident analysis and reviews to identify data driven PBS strategies
Lead the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of data driven, values based behavioural interventions and BSPs that enhance quality of life and reduce the frequency and impact of incidents for the people we support
Take professional responsibility for a referral caseload and to provide expert advice and recommendations to staff working within Active Care Group services regarding PBS
Provide coaching and mentoring to PBS practitioners and direct support staff to ensure the effective implementation of strategies
Conduct debrief sessions with staff and the individuals we support following significant incidents to promote their well-being and facilitate valuable learning outcomes
What you'll have: Postgraduate qualification in PBS or ABA
UKSBA registration (or willingness to register)
Demonstrated PBS supervision skills, with UKBA certification supervision experience considered desirable
Competent use of PBS assessment tools and processes, including the development and implementation of BSPs
Ability to manage a complex workload across a broad geographical area while contributing to the wider national PBS team's development and support needs
Proven experience in a senior PBS role, with involvement in service development, practitioner supervision, and implementation of PBS frameworks
Significant experience of working within PBS role supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, brain injury, mental health and other support needs
Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS
