We have an exciting opportunity for Care Assistants to join our friendly, supportive team at our Ryde care home.
Fairhaven Care Home provides high quality residential and dementia care services for up to 21 elderly residents, and has a CQC rating of Good.
As a Care Assistant you will:
* be involved in supporting the daily activities of our residents, ensuring a person-centred approach is undertaken at all times
* assist residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and assisting with meals
* have a respectful, courteous and compassionate nature and a willingness to undertake any aspects of care.
Whether you are accompanying a resident to a dentist appointment, completing a care plan document, assisting a resident to have a shower, reading the morning newspaper to a resident, or assisting someone to have breakfast, you should do so with care and kindness.
You don’t need experience to become a Care Assistant, just plenty of passion and understanding, good written and verbal communication, and some basic IT skills. A full induction programme and training is provided. This job is varied, interesting and very rewarding.
A competitive salary is offered, which will be discussed at the interview. This will be a full-time role of 36 hours a week.
