Your mission as an Auditor is to help ensure a high level of policy and standard compliance across the engineering function of the Army.

We are looking for someone who holds a Level 3 Engineering qualification (or equivalent).� Experiences of quality assurance and performance improvement systems is highly desirable. You will ideally be qualified in auditing however this can be developed within the role through completion the International Organisation for Standardisation Auditor course free of charge. This is approved by both the Chartered Quality Institute and the International Register of Certificated Auditors.
This course will allow you to bring world-class quality standards to all Army units and will provide you with the knowledge and skills to implement, maintain and improve the more technical aspects of a quality management system ensuring you are equipped to implement challenging technical aspects of a management system standard or discipline. You will attain the competence to improve existing management systems by evaluating the effectiveness of its implementation.
You will be a good team player with effective communication skills to disseminate information and present recommendations and findings.
These roles will audit the following areas in accordance with the Army�s Policy for Land Equipment. This is a well refined and user-friendly document that provides an expert guide to auditing. Therefore, as an auditor you will be contributing substantially to sustaining the Army�s combat capability.

Positions will have a permanent duty station which will be agreed individually however day to day auditing responsibilities will require you to undertake visits across the UK and overseas. This role will require regular overnight stays across the UK and overseas away from the permanent duty station. Additionally with a regular requirement to travel to locations with limited public transport links, the successful candidate will therefore ideally hold a Full UK Driving License Category B.
Travel expenses are covered by the department, including accommodation and meals. When required to audit overseas which will include some weekend travel, you will qualify for Travel Time allowances.

An Equipment Auditor in the Land Equipment Audit (LEA) Team will:
5. Undertake physical audits and digital system checks to verify adherence to engineering policy, standards, and safe systems of work.
6. Interrogate Asset Management Systems to identify any non-conformity.
7. Ensure audit observations are structured to verify compliance to regulations and unit standards.
8. Prepare and deliver audit reports outlining findings, recommendations, and detailing risks to relevant Senior Management as required.
9. Make recommendations for improved quality control methodologies to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, guidelines, and procedures.
Essential Skills:
�An NVQ Level 3 in Engineering is essential.�
�Desirable skills are as follows:
10. Experience in auditing engineering systems is desirable however on the job training will also be provided.
11. Skilled at using Microsoft products (Excel and Word) and generally proficient with IT Tools.
12. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a small team.
13. Highly organised capable of planning and carrying out tasks to achieve deadlines.
14. Able to self-manage workload.
15. Qualified/experienced in vehicle inspections
16. Experience of quality assurance and performance improvement systems or qualification in quality auditing.
17. Full, UK driving licence
