Job Description:
Are you an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental Manager? If so, we'd love to hear from you!
If you are passionate about promoting organisational safety and environmental responsibility and are looking for a new challenge, it might be time to make the move to Chartway Partnerships Group.
Chartway Partnerships Group is a leading South East land-led housebuilder, specialising in the development of new homes and communities in partnership with housing associations, landowners, and investors.
About The Role
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a solid understanding of the construction and housebuilding industry, along with up-to-date knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation. A commitment to ongoing professional development is essential, particularly in maintaining current legislative awareness and best practices in health, safety, and environmental standards.
You should already hold, or be working towards, a relevant CSCS competence card. Strong presentation skills, coupled with the ability to influence and communicate persuasively across a range of stakeholders, will be key to promoting a proactive safety culture.
The role involves conducting monthly scored audits, periodic inspections, and incident investigations across our operational business divisions - Chartway Civil Engineering, Chartway Drylining, and Chartway Building Supplies - in line with the company’s Common Visual Standards. You will also oversee periodic inspections and provide support to a number of offices and yards. You'll also be supporting behavioural change initiatives to help drive new ways of working.
What you’ll need
We’re looking for passionate, enthusiastic individuals who want to do the best work of their lives - people eager to grow both personally and professionally, while helping us grow our business. If you share our vision and values - Quality, Respect, Integrity, Innovation, and Sustainability - then you’ll fit right in.
You’ll bring experience from a similar role within a Health, Safety, and Environmental background, ideally in the construction sector. You’ll be highly organised, IT-proficient, and have a solid understanding of risk assessments, COSHH, and safe systems of work. Most importantly, you’ll care about doing things the right way for your colleagues, the business, and the communities we work in.
Strong communication skills, experience working with integrated management systems, and involvement in policy development, risk assessments, COSHH assessments, and safe systems of work are also valuable. Relationship management is another key aspect of the role.
