Project Officer: Safety & Security
Join us as a Project Officer: Safety & Security and play a pivotal role in shaping a safer, more secure environment across our organisation. You’ll work at the heart of our health, safety, security, and fire safety teams, leading focused projects that make a real difference for staff, service users, and visitors.
The Project Officer: Safety & Security will work in the identification, planning, implementation and evaluation of focused project work across the health, safety and security and fire safety teams. It is expected that this will be undertaken using a project management methodology.
The post holder will manage specific elements of a project, and facilitate and monitor project progress so as to support the health, safety and security and fire safety teams to ensure associated teams achieve appropriate strategic objectives.
The post holder must liaise with all levels of staff throughout the Trust, and interface with both internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis.
A flexible approach is required as you will need to travel between any Trust premises or undertake any other journey as and when required to fulfil this role.
* Lead and deliver a range of safety and security projects from inception to completion, ensuring they align with organisational goals.
* Work closely with health, safety, security, and fire safety teams to identify opportunities for improvement and enhance service productivity.
* Collaborate with estates, maintenance, and capital projects teams to deliver impactful changes to the built environment.
* Prepare and present project briefs, reports, and business cases to influence decision-making at all levels.
* Manage project planning, stakeholder engagement, delivery, and evaluation, ensuring successful integration into business-as-usual activities.
* Maintain comprehensive project records and ensure all deliverables meet project management standards.
* Monitor project progress, address challenges, and drive continuous improvement.
* Provide training and support to staff, promoting a culture of innovation and quality improvement.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, Trust procedures, and financial guidelines.
* Foster positive relationships across teams and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive workplace.
