The Role:
We are seeking dependable freelance chefs to join our kitchen team at Hyde House on an event-by-event basis. This opportunity is ideal for Chef de Partie-level chefs with experience in weddings, banqueting, or high-quality hospitality who enjoy flexible, event-driven work.
Freelance chefs will support our permanent team with preparation and service, ensuring every event runs seamlessly.
Responsibilities include:
* Prepare and cook dishes for weddings and private events.
* Work flexibly across kitchen sections as required.
* Maintain consistent food quality, flavour, and presentation.
* Support smooth service in high-volume environments.
* Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and health & safety practices.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Chef de Partie (or equivalent level).
* Weddings, banqueting, or events experience preferred.
* Flexible, reliable, and a strong team player.
* Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining high standards.
* Knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen best practices.
