Background
For Unilever to remain competitive, the dCommerce Analytics Hub builds data, data science, and analytics as a core capability, delivering advanced products at scale. The team works closely with market teams so that decisions are augmented with insight and recommendations wherever possible.
Job Purpose
This role is part of the global dCom product team tasked with delivering billions of euros in incremental turnover across multiple online commerce archetypes. The Product Owner defines, prioritises, and manages the product backlog, translating business goals and customer needs into actionable user stories, and drives AI initiatives such as automated insights, real‑time actions, media optimisation, and agentic execution across content, retail media, performance & execution, and supply chain pillars.
Responsibilities
* Develop and articulate a clear product vision and long‑term strategy for the D-commerce platform, aligned with overall business objectives and market trends.
* Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer journey mapping to identify new opportunities and user pain points.
* Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics to measure product performance and inform strategic decisions.
* Shape the overall AI strategy within D-commerce products, leading insights, execution, and agentic builds.
* Own, maintain, and prioritise the product backlog based on business value, technical feasibility, and customer impact.
* Translate product strategy into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements for the development team.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for the Agile/Scrum team, participating in all ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
* Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and engaging user interfaces and workflows.
* Accept completed user stories, verifying that they meet defined acceptance criteria and quality standards.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leadership and key stakeholders across the organization, acting as a trusted advisor on all things D-commerce.
* Communicate the product vision, strategy, and progress to diverse audiences, tailoring the message appropriately.
* Lead cross‑functional steering committees to ensure alignment and secure buy‑in for major product initiatives.
Qualifications
* 15+ years of experience, including at least 10+ years in Digital, Technology or Analytics products.
* Technical expertise on cloud platforms (e.g., Azure), Data Bricks, SQL, Power BI, and similar tools.
* 7+ years of experience in e‑commerce related roles with pure‑play platforms/retailers, consumer goods, D-commerce agencies, platforms, or consulting.
* Direct experience working with data from online retailers such as Amazon (Vendor Central, AMC, Ads), media ads data (YouTube & Meta), and external category data (Stackline, Nielsen).
* Familiarity with external digital commerce tools like Salsify, Adobe, Profitero, Pacvue, Data Impact, SEMRush, and SKAI.
* Proven track record of defining product strategy and successfully launching and scaling large‑scale digital products from concept to launch.
* Exceptional business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to connect customer needs to business outcomes.
* Superior communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with proven experience influencing C‑level stakeholders.
Travel & Relocation
