offering professional music lessons for beginner, intermediate &
advanced musicians in a variety of instruments. Our goal is to provide
professional and inspiring lessons to all ages and all skill levels. We hope to
create a creative music hub within our borough and encourage more
performance and recording opportunities for all our musicians.

- To protect children and young people who receive Native School Of Music's services from harm. This includes the children of adults who use our services.

About the role:
- The role will best suit someone who can join in teaching singing in a flexible capacity with the potential to go to a more full-time role.
* Hours will be discussed in the interview and all admin related business will be handled by NSM. We are currently needing teaching solely on Thursdays.
* You would be capable and expected to teach children from the age of 5 to adults within a beginner to intermediate skill level. Ideally you would have had teaching experience as well as live and recording experience. We are looking for a musician who can encourage, inspire and instill a love for music in their lessons.
Training will also be included prior to starting teaching.
* The role requires someone who displays patience, perseverance, cultivates creativity and encourages expression. We are looking for a teacher who acts with honesty and integrity in all aspects of their work and is friendly, approachable and professional.
* Your role would include planning for lessons and clear communication with the students. Lessons vary in time from 30 minutes, 45 minute and 1 hour classes.
* We would expect this candidate to manage their time effectively by arriving on time for lessons and completing lessons within the allocated timeframe.
* Periodically one of our directors will sit in on lessons to make ensure that the quality of lessons is being maintained and to ensure that the teacher and students are both happy and have the resources or tools they need.
* NSM is closed during half-term breaks and Easter, Summer & Christmas Holidays.
* You are entitled to accumulated holiday pay.
Person Specification: The suitable candidate will be someone who not only has the correct qualifications but who is:

Responsibilities: - Arrive 15minutes before lessons begin
* Set up appropriately for lessons
* Teach Vocal lessons to students
* Preparing and aiding their students in potential graded exams
* Send monthly invoices/hours to NSM
* Keep a record of students homework/progress
* Training
* Monthly meeting via zoom or in person
(Training & meetings will be compensated for)
Remuneration: £15 per hour; £7.50 per 30min.
Candidate Requirements: - A valid DBS Certificate
* Holds grades/certification in Singing
* Experience within teaching (preferable)
* Experience within live performance and recording (preferable)
* Please supply 2 references
