Assistant Headteacher – Special Educational Needs School
Are you an experienced Assistant Headteacher available for an interim role starting in September 2024? Do you have previous experience leading quality of education within a special needs school?
This wonderful special school in East Birmingham provides an outstanding education for young people aged 11–19 who have a primary diagnosis of Autism. As an Assistant Headteacher, you will be part of a dynamic Senior Leadership Team and work closely with an experienced Headteacher to ensure that students achieve the very best outcomes.
Staff at this school are committed to a common goal, taking pride in delivering lessons that are engaging, informative, and interactive. Classes follow different pathways, so experience working with a variety of special educational needs would be beneficial. This role requires an Assistant Headteacher who can demonstrate a track record of leading quality in education and who is looking for an opportunity to make a difference.
Requirements:
1. Previous middle or senior leadership experience within a school, preferably as an Assistant Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher within a SEND setting.
2. Qualified Teaching Status.
3. Excellent organisational skills and proficiency in data management.
4. Strong person management abilities, overseeing a team of teaching and support staff.
5. Valid and up-to-date DBS clearance, or willingness to apply for one.
6. Availability to commence the Assistant Headteacher role in September.
7. A genuine love for working with children with special educational needs.
