Overview
Senior Software Engineer role at TieTalent. Location: Bristol, UK (hybrid & highly flexible working). Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 DOE + benefits. Tech Stack: Python, Cloud (Azure or AWS); Frontend (React) – Desirable.
We are working with a specialist software consultancy leading in the development of unique technology solutions that solve the UK's most complex problems. The role requires an excellent understanding of Python and Cloud (Azure or AWS), strong problem solving, and the ability to work autonomously within a high performance team.
Responsibilities
* Design and develop software systems or features as part of a high-performance team.
* Write clean, maintainable Python code.
* Apply software security principles, design patterns, and architectures.
* Utilize DevOps techniques including virtualization, containerization, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
* Engage in testing, database design/modelling/optimisation (where applicable).
* Mentor junior engineers and support career development and ongoing training within the team.
* Manage stakeholder relationships and communicate effectively with customers.
Qualifications
* Strong experience with Python and Cloud technologies (Azure or AWS).
* Experience in software security, design patterns, and architectures.
* Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD, virtualization, containerization, and infrastructure as code.
* Knowledge of cloud platforms and programming languages; Agile methodology experience.
* Involvement in designing and developing new software systems or features; ability to mentor junior team members.
* Familiarity with testing frameworks, database design, modelling, and optimisation (Desirable).
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and ability to manage stakeholder relationships and team challenges.
