A respected independent mental health provider is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Clinical Services (DoCS) to join their senior leadership team. This is a key leadership position within a specialist inpatient setting, responsible for overseeing the delivery and quality of all nursing and therapeutic services across the hospital.
The successful candidate will take operational and clinical leadership responsibility for ensuring safe, effective, and person-centred care. This includes managing performance against key indicators, supporting staff development, and ensuring full compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
The DoCS will work closely with the Hospital Director to contribute to the strategic direction and continuous improvement of the service. They will also be instrumental in building strong professional relationships with internal teams and external health and social care partners.
Key Requirements:
Registered with the NMC or HCPC
Minimum of 2 years experience as a Ward Manager or equivalent in a mental health setting
Proven experience managing clinical teams, service delivery, and budgets
Strong understanding of statutory regulations, governance, and quality standards
Demonstrated leadership, service improvement, and people management skills
Ability to manage complex priorities and drive a culture of engagement and excellence
