Overview
Piling Recruitment Group (PRG) are recruiting on behalf of a leading ground engineering contractor for a Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS) to join the Sizewell C project. This is a senior commercial role with responsibility for project cost control, contract management, and ensuring financial delivery across one of the UK's most high-profile infrastructure schemes.
Responsibilities
* Lead and mentor junior QS staff
* Develop and implement commercial strategy to meet project margins
* Manage cost reporting, forecasting, and cash flow
* Oversee subcontract tendering and contract administration
* Ensure variations are valued, agreed, and processed efficiently
* Provide accurate monthly cost/value reporting to project leadership
Requirements / Qualifications
* Proven QS experience in construction / ground engineering projects (essential: piling/geotechnical)
* Strong knowledge of construction techniques, contract law, and procurement
* RICS/CIOB membership or equivalent qualification preferred
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and people management skills
* Able to work effectively under pressure to tight deadlines
