At Bromsgrove Vets for Pets, we are proud of our RCVS Practice Standards accreditation and Silver accredited ISFM cat friendly status, but we are also proud of our culture and ethos.
Growing all the time and seeing a variety of interesting surgical and medical cases and a high percentage of insured clients, we are now looking for a veterinary surgeon to join our existing team of 4 vets, 3 RVNs, 2 SVN’s and 3 receptionists.
Owner and veterinary surgeon Lois Wakelin qualified from Liverpool in 2012, working in rural Worcestershire treating all animals great and small, before going on to open her own small animal GP practice Bromsgrove Vets for Pets in 2015.
As well as being supported by Lois you'll also be joining a team of 4 vets, with a wide range of clinical interests. Lois and our team of vets are then also supported by a very experienced nursing team, who are all equipped and enabled to do all the work you don’t have to, allowing you to concentrate on providing the highest level of veterinary care.
We know how important work life balance is, so we offer this role with a flexible rota if desired and just 1 in 4 Saturdays. We work in 60–90-minute blocks with 15-minute breaks, 15-minute consult time as standard and ensure that 1 hour is blocked out for lunch.
The practice itself is bright, spacious and air conditioned with all the equipment you’d expect from a busy GP practice including digital X-ray, ultrasound, full lab area, and separate dog and cat wards.
In return for working in a great practice with loyal clients and supportive colleagues, we are looking for an experienced team player, with great communication, general surgical and medical skills.
In joining us at Bromsgrove Vets4Pets, you can expect to receive a great remuneration package including:
1. Salary up to £65,000 commensurate with experience
2. 5.6 weeks holiday increasing to 6.6 weeks after 2 years’
