SEN Teacher Are you a compassionate and committed educator ready to make a difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs? looking for a SEN Teacher to join our dedicated team and deliver inclusive, engaging, and therapeutic education tailored to each learner. Location: Northwich 40 hours per week (Full-time, Term-Time) Start Date: As soon as possible Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver personalised lessons for learners with a range of SEN, including SEMH, autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties. Differentiate instruction to suit individual needs and learning styles, ensuring accessibility and engagement for all pupils. Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and SENCOs to develop and implement EHCP targets. Promote a nurturing, trauma-informed learning environment where students feel safe, respected, and motivated. Assess pupil progress regularly and adapt learning plans accordingly to support academic and personal development. Contribute to behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies in line with the school's ethos and policies. Maintain detailed records of pupil achievements, behaviour, and attendance, and communicate effectively with parents and carers. Must-Have Skills & Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Proven experience teaching pupils with SEN and/or SEMH Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP processes Ability to deliver creative, differentiated, and pupil-centred lessons Excellent communication, behaviour management, and relationship-building skills A commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and trauma-informed practice Good to Have: Additional SEN qualifications (e.g., NASENCO, autism training) Experience in specialist or alternative provision settings Knowledge of therapeutic approaches such as Thrive, Zones of Regulation, or nurture principles Familiarity with GCSE/Functional Skills frameworks for English and Maths Positive handling training (e.g., Team Teach, MAPA) Why Join Simply Education?
