Salary: Base salary of £32,349.49, with potential earnings up to £35,606.77 per annum including sleep-in shifts
Location: Carlisle
Specific Hours: 42 hours per week with a rotating shift pattern

Your Role:
As the Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Registered Manager to ensure our home meets its Statement of Purpose and delivers high-quality care. Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the Registered Manager in maintaining high standards of care.
* Ensuring effective communication within the team and adherence to policies.
* Overseeing care quality, staff training, and development.
* Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and regulatory standards.
* Monitoring the condition and safety of the home and its furnishings.
* Assisting with budgeting and accurate record-keeping.
* Promoting equality, diversity, and child protection.
* Leading on quality assurance and continuous service improvement.
* Providing effective team leadership and supervision.
* Maintaining confidentiality at all times.
* Supporting new staff through their induction process.
About You:
We are looking for someone who is:
* Understanding of the challenges faced by young people in care.
* Holds a Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification (or equivalent).
* Possesses excellent communication and listening skills.
* Willing to learn and collaborate within a small team.
* Able to complete an enhanced DBS check (covered by us).
* Experienced in EBD, social care, residential work, or youth work (advantageous).
* Holds a full, clean UK driving licence and is willing to support other homes as needed.
