This role will be based at either EP Kilroot Ltd (Northern Ireland) or EP Dublin Energy Ltd (Dublin), and will require travel to the Dublin, Kilroot and London offices. An opportunity has arisen to recruit a Commercial Analyst as part of the EPUKI All-Island commercial team. The successful candidate will support the Commercial Manager and Senior Commercial & Strategy Specialist with analysis of the All-Island Electricity Market, with a specific focus on project management, techno-economic modelling, and commercial analysis of the SEM Energy, Capacity and System Service markets. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a strong analytical mindset, responsible for progressing opportunities to enhance revenue and efficiency while supporting strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities Reporting to the Senior Commercial & Strategy Specialist, the key responsibilities and duties will include: Project management of the implementation of Future Arrangements for System Services (FASS). Conducting modelling of Energy, Capacity, and System Service markets to support commercial processes and wider business activities. Conducting technical and economic analysis on electricity market and power system data sets, developing output reports and recommendations to enhance revenue, efficiency or identify new opportunities. Producing internal summary reports on commercial performance and opportunities, providing markets insights and techno-economic overview to assist wider business activities. Developing and implementing new tools to automate processes and manage complex data sets. Assisting with assessing the commercial impact of regulatory updates and changes on the business to optimise commercial outcomes. Assisting in the evaluation of capital investments and business development opportunities. Assisting with tendering and commercial negotiation of key commercial contracts. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Background Demonstrable experience in a similar commercial or analytical role - essential. Previous experience within the energy industry, utilities, or large-scale industrial commodity processes - strong desirable. A basic understanding of SEM (Single Electricity Market) Energy, Capacity, and System Service commercial arrangements - essential. Knowledge of the ISEM market and trading would be a significant advantage - strong desirable. Proven experience in employing complex analytical tools and statistics for performance analysis - essential. Excellent Excel skills, with the ability to build and use Excel models and analyse data - essential. Project Management experience - desirable. Behaviours Excellent analytical skills, being able to digest large amounts of data (numerical and text), identifying the key issues and presenting these in a concise and clear manner to non-subject matter experts - essential. Good verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills with confidence to liaise with senior management - essential. Qualifications Minimum 2:1 Honours Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Business, Finance, or an Engineering-related subject or alternatively extensive relevant experience - essential.
