Who are we looking for?
A commercially minded SEO specialist with an eye for on page content.
You’ll shape site structure, craft persuasive copy, and apply on-page best practice across key page types. You’ll have dedicated technical SEO support, collaborating closely to make sure your content is easily discovered and delivers standout results.

What you’ll be doing
* Turning keyword intent into page outlines, briefs, and content calendars
* Writing and optimising SEO content for websites, landing pages, blogs, and location pages
* Implementing on-page best practice: titles/meta, headers (H1–H3), internal linking and anchors
* Building topic clusters and pillar pages; strengthening E-E-A-T (author bios, sourcing, citations)
* Optimising for SERP features (featured snippets, People Also Ask, images/video) and improving CTR with compelling titles/meta
* Collaborating with design/dev to align layouts and UX with content goals (technical heavy lifting handled by our SEO tech team)
* Measuring performance in GA4 and Search Console; reporting insights and next actions tied to business outcomes
* Leading our internal team of copywriters to scale quality and consistency
What you’ll need to bring
* 2+ years’ experience in SEO content or copywriting (agency or in-house)
* Strong grasp of on-page SEO: metadata, internal linking strategy, header hierarchy, semantic structure
* Hands-on experience writing/editing across multiple industries and page types
* Working knowledge of GA4, Google Search Console, and at least one research/optimisation suite (Ahrefs/Semrush, etc.)
* Clear communication and commercial thinking; calm, self-driven mindset with ownership of outcomes
* High standards of written accuracy and tone adaptability
* Nice to have: schema basics (FAQ/Article/Product), local SEO content (GBP, NAP on-page)
Where you’ll be based:
Our Zib Digital NZ office in Christchurch, reporting to our Head of SEO. This is an in-house role.
