Commercial Account Executive
Location: Colchester
Are you an experienced Commercial Account Executive with a passion for client service, business growth, and delivering expert insurance advice?
Were looking for a confident, driven professional to join a growing team, where youll take ownership of a portfolio of valued clients, identify new business opportunities, and contribute directly to the success of our firm.
About the Role
As a Commercial Account Executive, youll be responsible for:
1. Managing and developing a book of commercial and personal clients.
2. Identifying cross-sell and up-sell opportunities to maximise revenue.
3. Building and maintaining strong client and insurer relationships.
4. Managing renewals, claims, and new business enquiries efficiently and professionally.
5. Ensuring full FCA compliance and maintaining the highest standards of customer service.
6. Reporting directly to the companys Directors and helping shape the direction of the business.
This is a dynamic, client-facing role where youll have the autonomy to manage your portfolio while being part of a supportive, expert team.
What Were Looking For
Essential:
7. Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products.
8. Proven experience as an Account Executive or similar role in a broking environment.
9. Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
10. Ability to manage your own workload, meet targets, and deliver outstanding client service.
11. Cert CII qualification (or working towards).
12. Full driving licence and access to a car for business use.
Desirable:
13. Experience developing new business and growing existing client books.
14. Previous involvement in staff development or team leadership.
15. Experience managing both commercial and personal lines.
